I’ve just completed research on another product that you may not be familiar. I came across this while doing some research on a different dog food product and decided to share what I found with my fellow dog lovers.
The product, called FirstMate Dog Food, provides pet owners with a number of recipes, both in the dry and canned forms. Let’s take a look at what this brand is all about and specifically, what it has to offer.
FirstMate Dog Food|A History Lesson For You
So, what is this brand of dog food all about? Here are just some of the details I discovered when doing my research on this company and the products they produce:
- Founded and established in 1989 by Michael Florian (More on Michael in a bit)
- Production facility is based in Canada
- Family owned and operated
- The company is committed to providing quality ingredients
- The company has complete control in its production of pet foods
- Company’s vice-president is also a veterinarian and and pet nutritionist
Now, let’s get back to the founder of this company, Michael Florian, for just a minute. This gentleman had worked as a commercial fisherman for years, and eventually started to manufacture fish food as well. Why is this relevant to our story?
A funny thing happened! You see, Michael had a number of dogs around to protect these fish on his property but after some time, the dogs started to eat these fish. What to do? Well in order to stop these dogs from partaking in the eating of these fish, Michael decided to create a food to keep the dogs satisfied and away from the fish.
